2011 Possible Future's Film Contest Winners Announced

And the Winners Are…

After much anticipation the winners of the 2011 Possible Future Film Contest have been announced! This year there were a total of 317 inspirational films from 44 countries around the world. Out of this impressive selection came two top films:

The grand prize Possible Future Films Award of $10,000 and a trip for two to the Amazon went to Nitin Das, from India, for his film Superhero, shot in a remote region of the Himalayas. The film tells an insightful story of a young girl doing what she can to make a difference.

The Pachamama Award for second place, $5,000, and a trip for two to the Amazon was awarded to Dawn Mikkelson from the United States, for her movie Smooch, about the importance of compassion and forgiveness.

A total of 14,000 people viewed, voted, and selected five exceptional films for the People’s Choice awards! Congratulations to the winners of this years contest!
