21 New Symposium Facilitators Trained in San Francisco

February 03, 2015 | By Mylie Thompson

In-person Facilitator Trainings provide an opportunity to experience deep connection with a community, to practice speaking the messages of the Symposium and the Pachamama Alliance’s programs, and to strengthen your commitment and ability to bring about change in the world.

These trainings have now become about more than just putting on Symposiums—it is about “passing on” this vision of possibility in a variety of ways, in order to create a growing community of committed people in action. Learn more about Pass It On.

The Role of Facilitator Trainings

The mission and purpose of the Up to Us engagement pathway is to “grow the critical mass” of citizens committed to creating a sustainable, fulfilling and just human presence on the planet. In this new strategy, that’s what a Facilitator Training is about, learning to “pass on” this vision and inspiration to others, using the Symposium and the other educational tools and experiences of the Up to Us pathway, like the Game Changer Intensive and participation in Pachamama Alliance Communities and game-changing movements.

As a result of this recent training, these new Facilitators are also participating as new community and Core Team members in San Francisco; the East Bay of San Francisco; Sonoma County, California; and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
