Last month the Awakening the Dreamer Program made another bold stride, this time into India. A visit to hold trainings in both Pune and Mumbai was the culmination of an extraordinary web of connections across the world, involving volunteer supporters in Hong Kong, Germany, the United States, and of course, Arun Wakhlu, the host and sponsor in India. In each city, a Symposium was held, as well as a two-day event to train people as Symposium facilitators and as agents of change, all with the support of US-based Pachamama supporter Barb Galyen.

Another of the keys to seeding this work was the Symposium delivered in Pune by ATD staff in San Francisco using Skype. This idea is so powerful that we will shortly be starting to conduct the Symposium live around the world as a webinar.

The people involved have embraced these new roles with enthusiasm and ambition, and plans are being formed to translate the Symposium materials into several Indian languages, to spread the work to Bangalore, Delhi and beyond, to take the youth version (the Wake Up) to schools and to explore how to make the message fit Indian culture and the rich spiritual heritage of the country.

As a result of these events, the Awakening the Dreamer Program is now poised to expand rapidly into this huge and influential country, itself some 17% of the world's population.

We've also learned about the reach and connections of our community around the world, so start listing the friends you have around the world whom you would like to introduce to this work, and let the program team know on maggie@pachamama.org - and together let's have this message spread even further around the globe.
