Transforming Our Relationship to Global Warming

Pachamama Alliance Co-founder Lynne Twist and Project Drawdown Vice President and Research Director Chad Frischmann joined a conference call on September 4, 2018, to discuss transforming our relationship to global warming.

Many people feel hopeless due to the magnitude of global warming, and since our actions are correlated with how we see the world, transforming our relationship to global warming is a necessary first step to addressing it.

Project Drawdown is a coalition of researchers that identified and modeled the 100 most substantive, already existing solutions for addressing global warming. They demonstrated that it is possible to not just slow, but to actually roll back global greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Lynne and Chad discussed the shift that takes place for people when they hear about the possibility of reversing global warming, and the role that each of us can play in spreading that message.

The Pachamama Alliance Drawdown Initiative aims to inform and generate a critical mass of people committed to reversing global warming and includes two educational programs—Reversing Global Warming: Introduction to Drawdown and Drawdown Solutions: Getting into Action—designed to awaken people to the possibility of reversing global warming and inspire them to get into action.
