Indigenous Wisdom for Modern Times
The global Pachamama Alliance community connected with Board Member Dr. Anita Sanchez on December 6, 2017, for a conversation about indigenous wisdom for modern times.
Anita spoke about gatherings with elders from traditions all over the world who are seeing it is time to share their wisdom so that people everywhere know and understand that they are related to people, earth, and spirit.
“You can’t Google wisdom. We find wisdom deep inside ourselves. The people we call indigenous live with that understanding that we are the water and the water is us, and what happens to you happens to me.”
A primary theme of the call was forgiving the unforgivable, one of the themes of Anita’s recent bestselling book, The Four Sacred Gifts: Indigenous Wisdom for Modern Times.
“Forgiveness is a path to freedom. We can be life giving beings to each other. That’s what we were meant to do, to be in right relationship with each other.”
