ATD Moving Forward, Inspiring Agents of Change

November 14, 2010 | By The Pachamama Alliance

After five years of extraordinary success offering the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium across the world, the Awakening the Dreamer Program has shifted course to confront humanity’s biggest crises with even more clarity and effectiveness. In addition to continuing the awakening work of the Symposium, the program will offer two new tools designed to catalyze and empower agents of change around the world to play their roles, collectively and individually, in changing the dream of the modern world.

The change comes in part after a summit of delegates met in July of this year to discuss and share in their successes as symposium facilitators. It became clear that the most powerful result of the symposium’s success was a growing number of awake and engaged individuals, committed to making their communities- and the world- a sustainable, just, and fulfilling place.

The Awakening the Dreamer Program is committed to growing and supporting the global community of individuals who have identified themselves as agents of change committed to shifting the dream of the modern world.

The new programs will provide a deeper level engagement as well as a broad set of skills for those already awake and at work, empowering them be effective organizers in their own communities.

In addition, the Awakening the Dreamer program is employing new strategies to empower agents of change to better support one another locally and globally, ensuring there are no bottlenecks to this work spreading around the world at an ever-faster rate.

This signals a huge transformation for the Awakening the Dreamer Program, and the beginning of an exciting era in which the next four years are a vital timeline for us as a global family to make strides together in changing the dream of the modern world and creating a just and sustainable human presence for generations to come.
