An astonishing degree of leadership is being demonstrated by members of the Awakening the Dreamer (ATD) community worldwide. In July, 95 leaders gathered in California to shape the next phase of the ATD Program. Then, in September, 25 people from 9 countries gathered at a Leadership Training in the Somerset countryside of England and left personally transformed and committed to making the ATD message fully available in China, South Africa and throughout Africa, Germany, Denmark, Russia, Lebanon, Ireland, Belgium and the French-speaking world and the UK.
The new phase of this program is using the power of the Symposium to have people see themselves as Change Agents with a contribution to make in communities where they are choosing to lead change. Empowered by this shift, many of these change agents, volunteers every one, are now stepping into leadership in order to support the expansion and deepening of the community itself on a truly global scale, and are doing so with a vision and commitment that is truly inspiring.
As the program focus expands to include Changing the Dream as well as Awakening the Dreamer, there will be a growing suite of tools available together with the Symposium to support change agents in bringing the communities that they care so deeply about back onto a socially just, environmentally sustainable and spiritually fulfilled trajectory. Through this and through the extraordinary passion of ordinary people, the ATD Program can fulfill its potential in bringing forth a new human presence on Earth in these next years.
