A fabulous example of thriving, self-generating community is found in Europe, where 15 representatives from 10 European countries gathered in Germany for the first European Summit of the Awakening the Dreamer/Be the Change community (the work of the Initiative in Europe goes under the name of Be the Change in some countries). For two days, they shared the wisdom and genius of representatives from Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
Two of the team, Gillian Webster and Yvan Rytz created this video, which we are delighted to share with you. Through circle, movement, meditation, brainstorming, discussion, conversation, breakout groups plus playful and challenging exercises they planted the seeds for even-greater European collaboration and partnership.
By the end of the weekend they had planned two further summits for 2011 and two EU wide trainings, including one to plant this work in new countries. There will be trainings of Symposium facilitators in Denmark and Sweden and events to launch this work soon in Portugal too!
