Three New Board Members Join Us

The Pachamama Alliance Board has added three new distinguished members. Says Bill Twist, CEO, “All of these new directors are exceptional people who we feel very confident will be great assets to Pachamama. All three of them are great advocates and allies for our work.”

Van Jones is an attorney and the co-founder of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Color of Change and Green For All, and is author of The Green Collar Economy. Van served as the green jobs advisor in the Obama White House in 2009 and is currently a senior fellow at the Center For American Progress. Additionally, he is a senior policy advisor at Green For All. Van also holds a joint appointment at Princeton University, as a distinguished visiting fellow in both the Center for African American Studies and in the Program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

Catherine Parrish founded NextLevel Consulting out of her commitment to assist individuals, teams and organizations in 'playing their best game' for the sake of a world that works for everyone. She has provided training and consulting to the leaders and staffs of hundreds of companies, universities, not-for-profits, and foundations, throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia and India. Catherine served as the CEO of The Hunger Project US and as the International Executive Director of PRASAD for over two decades. She serves on the faculties of the Institute for Women's Leadership, and of Leadership Alchemy.

Ben Schick is the CEO of MediaOne, a media company based in San Francisco. Ben joined MediaOne in 2003 as General Manager and was named CEO in June 2010. Prior to that, he had a 20-year career in media development and production, beginning his career in Hollywood as a script reader and in various production roles in feature films and commercials. Ben also served as the first Executive Director of Challenge Day, a nonprofit organization providing youth and their communities with transformational experiential programs that shift the culture in middle and high schools.
