Haven't Trained to be a Symposium Facilitator?

Although our in-person Facilitator Training is the best way to learn how to deliver the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium, only a few of these trainings are available around the world every year. So, to empower more people to deliver it, we've created an orientation that makes it easy to learn the ropes without attending an in-person training. We also have created a simple way to deliver the Symposium by using a DVD that includes all the materials needed for a smooth presentation.

The 20-Minute Online Orientation to Presenting the Symposium

Our 20-minute Online Orientation is ready to watch on demand and will leave you prepared to start presenting live Symposiums. The Orientation is a series of videos that will introduce you to the origins of the Symposium as well as the different aspects of delivering it. It is also a great tool for those Facilitators looking for a refresher!

Upon completing the Online Orientation, you will be able to:

  • Access the tools and resources to create a great experience for presenters and for the audience
  • Connect with experienced Facilitators who can provide guidance and practical experience
  • Connect with Pachamama Alliance Communities to learn and collaborate

Access the Online Orientation Now

The Online Orientation is accessible on the Facilitator Hub to registered users.

Then, when an in-person Facilitator Training is offered in your local area, we suggest joining it to get an even deeper understanding of the spirit of the Symposium, its design, and the skills that make for an effective presentation.

The Symposium on DVD

A simple way to deliver the Symposium is available to anyone regardless of their training status. The DVD of the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium created by GAIAM University allows people to share the Symposium using a guided DVD, which requires little moderation. This format includes the materials and guidance needed for a successful presentation. Since no particular training is required, anyone who shares the vision of the Symposium can start presenting it already!

Hosted by Lynne Twist, co-founder of the Pachamama Alliance, the film runs for 170 minutes and takes participants through the Symposium journey, addressing the key challenges of our times, and acknowledging that our society "is on an unsustainable path, and we have a limited time to turn things around.”
